FUNCTION MODES

THE USER INTERFACES OF THE IDVS+

STATIC MODES use visual counter rotation relative to the rotation speed to display static images, e.g. EQUALIZER MODE.

Although it rotates on the turntable, the IDVS+ has the ability to use visual counter-rotation and can therefore display static images on its touchscreen that do not rotate.

Some UIs require this feature, especially when the IDVS+ displays text or other line-based information.

CIRCULAR MODES can be used even though their elements are rotating at turntable speed, e.g. ABSTRACT VINYL MODE.

These UIs are circular and can be controlled even though the IDVS+ and what it displays rotates at the speed of the turntable.

SLOWMO MODES use slow motion effects for certain user interface elements, e.g. BASIC MODE.

Some IDVS+ user interfaces and UI elements are neither static nor freely rotating, but use slow motion effects.

THE FUNCTION MODES ARE DEDICATED TO A SPECIFIC FUNCTION OR DJING TASK

PING PONG MODE – The most advanced IDVS mode with synchronized audio wave visualization for easy beat matching and various control options

GLOBAL CONTROL MODE – an advanced performance mode that gives full access to all critical DJ software parameters

BASIC MODE – simple playback visualisation with  <<  >> SWIPE control. Track wave rotates in slow motion as the track plays  CLICK FOR ANIMATION

ARTIST SELECTION MODE – allows browsing music libraries and selecting a track by rotating the IDVS+

VINYL EMULATION MODE – a physically accurate imitation of print image of a vinyl record, based on a track's waveform.

For the most aesthetically pleasing way to play digital audio and "needle dropping" vinyl DJs know from playing real vinyl records

ABSTRACT VINYL MODE – an abstract version of the Vinyl Mode with circular representation of a track's waveform

EFFECT MODE – selection and multiparametric control of effects by spinnig or dragging control points

KEY SELECTION MODE – fluid harmonic mixing in key by rotating the camelot wheel for key selection

EQUALIZER MODE – static Mode with frequency band control by spinnig or dragging control

ALBUM MODE – fullscreen cover visualisation spinning on the turntable

THE ROTARY MENU ALLOWS SELECTING A FUNCTION MODE

The ROTARY MENU – is the first touch response of the IDVS+ and is displayed when the SWITCH-AREAS are touched

In addition to using the ROTARY MENU, you can also set up one of the SWITCH-AREAS or a MULTI-TOUCH GESTURE to act as an INSTANT FUNCTION MODE SWITCH
